Zeppelin University is a multidisciplinary university for tomorrow's decision-makers. As a private “Pioneering University” it is bridging business, culture, and politics by an uncompromising pursuit of academic curiosity and excellence. The challenge was to develop a concept for a new campus and main building complementing the current premises at the “Seemoser Horn”.
The project started off by identifying the main knowledge processes and understanding the inner-workings of the university by making extensive use of participatory and qualitative ethnographic observation methods. theLivingCore developed a vibrant knowledge and architectural design that has a focus on the library as the “heart” of the university providing an Enabling Space for study, collaboration, project work, knowledge creation, research, start-up support as well as communication between students and teaching staff. This project has been awarded and won the third place in the architectural competition.
